Fat Is my Friend and Healthy Living, are two websites pioneered by a general practitioner, Dr Joanne McCormack, to provide support and guidance on healthy eating to patients, healthcare professionals and the public at large.
It is now regarded as urgent that we educate all healthcare professionals and people with diabetes that a high carb diet is harmful in diabetes and other metabolic disease. Ideally each person should be offered a personalized approach to individually decide how they can reduce their carb intake to a level where their weight and blood tests such as HbA1c, lipids and liver function become normal.
