The ‘Septic Shock in Intensive Care’ workshop organised by the SARM, sponsored by MTIL in collaboration with Sun Pharma.

MTIL in collaboration with Sun Pharma was proud to sponsor the Septic Shock in Intensive Care workshop, organised by the SARM (Société d’Anesthésie de Réanimation de Madagascar) on the 13th August 2021.

It was a first for the SARM, since the event was done in both presential and via e-conference, broadcast simultaneously in 5 provinces of Madagascar: Mahajanga, Toamasina, Fianarantsoa, Antsiranana and Antsirabe, as well as in Mauritius and Cameroon.

The main objective of the conference was to address the management of sepsis through a pragmatic and factual approach. Considering this, the intended audience of 90 healthcare professionals were able to explore the following:

• Pathophysiology of septic shock,
• Monitoring of septic shock,
• Vascular filling and vasopressors during septic shock,
• Antibiotic therapy in septic shock,
• Nutrition and calorie intake during sepsis,
• Noradrenaline and dobutamine,
• Special case in paediatrics,
• Other therapies for septic shock.

We wish SARM success in its endeavours and to continuously host insightful conferences to again serve as a gathering point for the concerned healthcare professionals.
