In the bustling world of pharmaceuticals, where every single pill and prescription plays a vital role in shaping lives, it exists a group of frontliners who often works tirelessly behind the scenes, ensuring the well-being of individuals of our community – OUR PHARMACISTS, OUR HEROES.
At HealthActiv, we take pride to honour and celebrate our pharmacists, on this World Pharmacists Day. At a time when healthcare services around the world are still recovering from the COVID-19 crisis, it is important that people can recognise pharmacists as an intelligent solution. Pharmacists are often the first point of contact for individuals seeking medications advice and their expertise is invaluable in guiding patients on their path to recovery. In the heart of every pharmacist lies a genuine concern for the health and well-being of everyone, a commitment to ethical practices and an unwavering dedication to quality.
However, the role of a pharmacist has evolved significantly over the years, far beyond the dispensing of medication in a retail outlet. At HealthActiv, we have witnessed the emergence of pharmacists who have transformed their expertise into a multitude of essential roles within our organisation, more precisely the wholesale sector. Wholesale pharmacists are responsible for ensuring the efficient distribution of medications to various healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and health centres. Wholesale pharmacists work together to maintain an uninterrupted supply of medications to meet the demands of healthcare providers and patients.
Yet, our Pharmacists have become the key players in areas such as pharmaceutical quality, pharmaceutical regulatory and pharmaceutical commercialisation. The role of our Quality Pharmacist Indrasen Inderjeet is to ensure that the products reaching patients are safe and compliant with strictest distribution standards. On the other hand, our Regulatory Manager Kushiram (Ashwin) Teeluck works closely with the local authorities for the registration of all our products and ensures that they strictly comply with local authorities’ regulations. Furthermore, the duty of Kaleem Jeehoo, our Commercial Pharmacist, is to deal with the customers for Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance (Monitoring Safety of Medicines) and new Product Development. Hence, with over 30 years of experience in the industry, Ajay Gaya's extensive knowledge of the pharmaceuticals industry makes him a key asset in overseeing the operations. Having a patient-centric approach, he is considered as a mentor to our Pharmacists Team and draws them into his vision of offering safe, effective and high-quality products.
On this day, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the Pharmacists across the world.
Happy World Pharmacists Day!
Together, let’s continue to shape the future of healthcare.
